A quick trip to the Caicos Islands can be planned with endless flights coming from a wide range of gateways like American Airlines, Delta, Atlanta, US Airways and Air Canada etc.
The Caicos Islands currently have a full service international airport, Provo Airport in Providenciales with limited entry facilities in North and South Caicos. All other islands have domestic airports except for uninhabited East and West Caicos.
Most visitors fly into Providenciales upon entry to the islands and then can easily take a commuter flight to the other islands which is a modern, full service facility providing gateway to the rest of the Caicos Islands.
There are few countries that do not require a visa to visit the Caicos Islands. One can avail private pilots too.
There are many visitors who prefer to arrive to the Caicos by boat and enjoy the pristine waters. Private boaters must clear customs and immigration upon arrival.
One of the most popular tourism routes by sea is by a cruise ship offering variety of activities, attractions and shopping. Private boaters can use a number of facilities in Providenciales, most notably the services like extensive docking facilities, fuel, lodging, restaurants, washing facilities, Internet access as well as complete entry facilities.
Once you land in the Caicos, taxi services and local tour guides at all the airports and seaports make getting around fairly easy.
Rental cars, jeeps and scooters are also available however a valid driver’s license is required. A government tax is levied on all hired cars and motor scooters. Shuttle services, Limo, Special car services and bicycles are also available for use at most major resorts.
All US Citizens travelling by air or Cruise ship passengers to the Caicos Islands are required by the US Government to have a valid US passport. The visitors have to clear immigration and customs and claim baggage at PLS.
